And all that tech - LWSD teams make strong showing at 2026 national TSA conference

More than 9,500 middle school and high school Technology Student Association (TSA) members gathered at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, June 22-26, 2026, in the Washington, DC area for the 48th National TSA Conference. Several Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students and teams made a splash throughout the competition by finishing in the top ten. A team from Lake Washington High School was the top performer of the bunch by finishing in first place in the Children’s Stories (HS) category. In addition, seven other LWSD teams finished in the top three.

The conference theme, Unity Through Community, was embraced by members through their participation in TSA competitions, activities and programs, according to the organization’s press release. Each of these elements of the conference provided members with enhanced exposure to topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM); opportunities for personal and leadership development; and career awareness.
