Double it up – Redmond HS freshman places in top five at two different, national competitions

Navneeth Badhri EHS

Redmond High School freshman Navneeth Badhri has been a busy bee. He attended the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) April 22-26 in Chantilly, Virginia, where he finished in second place in the biomedical sciences category of the poster presentations. JSHS is a showcase for high school science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) research. The event welcomed 239 high school STEM students from across the country, their teachers and JSHS university partners. Judging panels of scientists from the Department of Defense selected the top presenters in each of the eight categories.

From there, Navneeth went on to compete at the 2025 USA Brain Bee Championship in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on May 3. He finished in fifth place in the national neuroscience competition for teens. According to its website, the contest aims to inspire teens to learn about the brain and pursue careers in neuroscience and related fields.
