What Is Tech Prep?

Eastlake students enrolled in Tech Prep can earn college credit in high school courses that are formally aligned and articulated with college courses. Most Tech Prep high school classes are part of a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program and they connect with a professional/technical certificate or degree

Transportation

No transportation needed--Tech Prep classes are all offered at Eastlake High School.

Availability

• During EHS registration, you don’t need to do anything special!
• Once you begin the course, your teacher will provide Tech Prep registration instructions

Length

Classes are either one semester or a full year.

Registration

• Once you’ve started your Eastlake Tech Prep course, your teacher will provide registration instructions.
• Go to www.techprepcc.org and click on “Register Now”
• Go to Quick Registration and choose “Click Here”
• On SERS homepage, choose “Students Click Here”
• New Students click “Create an Account”, returning students “Login”
• Find your class! Click on “Register for Classes” and click “Go Search”.
• Confirm your course and teacher and click “Save”
• Pay the $46 Consortium Fee at http://pay.techprepcc.org
• Complete your Tech Prep course with a grade of “B” or higher
• All registrations must be completed by June 15th in the school year you took the class.

Transcripts

• Students must meet all three Tech Prep requirements: Register with Tech Prep, pay $46 Consortium Fee, and Earn a “B” grade or higher.
• Colleges transcribe all Tech Prep students in August.
