Course Registration 2020-2021

Eastlake Registration - 2020-2021

EHS Course Catalog 2020-2021

In order to help ensure students are making thoughtful, informed decisions about their courses we will have many opportunities for students to learn about the courses offered at Eastlake.

Below is an outline of our registration process.

Making informed decisions: In addition to the information students receive during registration, we have built into our schedule plenty of time for students to explore their course options.

UW/AP Night

January 29th, 7:00pm: There will be a presentation in the EHS Theater which will include information about prerequisites, homework load and expectations.  We highly recommend both you and your student attend if they are considering an AP or UW class.

Classroom Visits by EHS Counselors January 30th and 31st:
Each class period, students will be introduced to a different aspect of the registration process. Students will receive their registration paperwork, directions to view their academic record. They will also get information on what credits they need for graduation, how to register for classes, and other important registration information.

In addition, departments will go over course pathways for each of their classes, including prerequisite information and recommendations.

EHS Electives Fair

January 31st: Teachers and students will be showcasing various class opportunities for next year. WANIC will also be present at this fair.

January 31st, Wolf Times: During Wolf Time, students can attend up to three info sessions from various departments. Considering an AP class? Students can hear from the teachers. Trying to figure out what art class is going to be a fit? Sign up to hear about the art pathways. Counselors will also have Wolf Times to answer questions. Students will sign up for these Wolf Times on January 30th, during 7th period.

Counselors Available for Registration Questions
January 31st – February 7th, Counseling Center: Counselors will be available for registration questions before school, during lunch, and after school. Students are encouraged to stop by during that time with registration questions.

Return Registration Forms Friday, February 7th: Students will turn in their registration forms to their 4th period teacher. Students should input their selections prior to February 7th in Skyward. They’ll turn in their registration form (signed by parent), a printout of their Skyward course selections, and a student workload worksheet on this day.

Running Start? WANIC?: If your student is interested in Running Start they still need to follow the EHS registration timeline/procedure and register for 7 classes here. There will be two informational sessions for students to learn more. Friday February 7th students can sign up during Wolf Time A or Wednesday February 19th At 1:00pm, in the theater. You may also consider attending an info session at a community college campus (like Bellevue College, Central Washington University, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, or WANIC Skills Center) for more information.

As always, the information will be available on the Counseling Power School page and the Eastlake website during the registration time. Please reference it for any questions/concerns. The course catalog is always available on the Eastlake website as well, which has a ton of great information!

We appreciate your patience and understanding for the counseling staff, as we register students, answer individual questions, troubleshoot technology issues, and ensure all students are getting registered properly! With that said, counselors won’t be able to take individual appointments during this busy time.
