LWSD Laptop Program Updates
  • There are no fines for laptop damage/loss/theft
  • Laptop Agreement form will be sent to 6th and 9th grade parents through Parent Square
  • Students are not precluded from bringing their personal mobile devices/computers to school; however, students who bring personal computers must also bring their district computer fully charged and available for use each day. Teachers may require students to use their district device for certain activities or assignments.  Many mandated or optional tests such as the SBA, PSAT, SAT, AP Exams, and language proficiency tests must be taken on a school laptop that is updated.

  • 9th grade students get a new laptop that they keep all 4 years and do not turn in until they graduate. This means returning students keep their school laptop over the summer. Before the school year ends they must change their password to something new and write it down so they remember it in the fall.

  • Student username has changed to their school identification number (ASB card, bottom of laptop, Skyward)
  • Student email is now their school identification number followed by @lwsd.org
