Technology Assistance

  LWSD Family Technology Access (FTA) Office
 

Students/Parents must contact FAMILY TECHNOLOGY ACCESS (FTA) to create a service ticket before coming to the school to solve technology problems (wifi internet box, stylus pen, working laptop).

Email ftaccess@lwsd.org or call 425-936-1322 Mon-Fri 7:00am - 7:00pm and include the following information to create the service ticket:

  • School Name
  • Student first name and Last Name
  • Grade
  • Technology Need (or the problem?)

Once the FTA has this information and has created a ticket, the Eastlake on site tech representative will prepare a device and a library staff member will call you or email you with details about when and how to pick it up.

Free Internet Access Options for Families

Reliable connectivity to the internet is critical for student success during remote teaching and learning. The state recognizes this need and has partnered with Ziply Fiber, Comcast/Xfinity and Presidio to create Washington’s K–12 Internet Access Program, which gives eligible families free internet access so students can connect to online learning from home.

This internet access opportunity will potentially provide families with faster and more reliable connectivity than hotspots, which will better support our students. Eligible families can receive free internet access through June 30, 2021.

LWSD has developed the following webpage for families to check eligibility, choose a provider in their area, request an access code and sign-up for service: https://www.lwsd.org/fall-2020/free-internet-access-through-ziply-comcastxfinity-or-presidio.

Please return the district issued hotspot once you receive this service.

If students have an immediate need (i.e. malfunctioning laptop) that impedes their ability to participate in remote instruction, please contact Lori Rowe (lrowe@lwsd.org).

Eastlake will either arrange an additional opportunity to pick up the needed materials or arrange a delivery for students who cannot get to Eastlake.
