Running Start

What is Running Start?

Running Start is a program that allows 11th and 12th grade students to take college courses at local community and technical colleges. Students earn both high school and college credits for these courses. Running Start students and their families do not pay tuition. They are responsible for mandatory fees, books, transportation and any credit-overages. College is an adult environment where students are expected to engage in the community in a responsible, mature, and independent manner. EHS counselors support RS students in completing their high school graduation requirements, and any college-specific questions should be directed to the college. For more information about Running Start expectations and responsibilities, please review the Running Start Agreement.

FERPA laws are followed at the college level.  College faculty are NOT allowed to communicate with anyone but the student about their academic progress.  Parents - please do not contact them for any reason.
