AVID = Advancement Via Individual Determination

AVID is a program for students to learn and practice the skills necessary to be successful in their high school and college classes. AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
Students who take an AVID elective learn:

  • Collaboration techniques
  • Organization tools
  • Critical reading skills
